Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 2026-07-21.
This policy covers TheVaultMind, the app at thevaultmind.com. It doesn't cover the third-party services you connect (your AI provider, Google, Notion, Microsoft, Obsidian) — each of those has its own terms, linked from the Trust & Data Audit page, and you're bound by them independently when you use those integrations.
1. What TheVaultMind is
TheVaultMind is a static, client-side application with no server that stores your content. Access is gated by a name + date of birth + access code check, run entirely in your browser against a small user list bundled into the app's public source code — there is no account database on a server. When you generate content, your article text is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configured, using the API key you supplied. When you export to a vault, your files are sent directly from your browser to that destination (your local disk, your Google Drive, your Notion workspace) using your own credentials. TheVaultMind itself never receives, stores, or has access to your content, your API keys, or your vault.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to use TheVaultMind. If you are accessing the app on behalf of a minor, you are responsible for their use of it.
3. Do
- Use TheVaultMind to research, summarize, and organize content you have the right to access and process — articles you've read, feeds you subscribe to, documents you own or have permission to use.
- Verify AI-generated content (including Flashcards, quizzes, and study guides) against primary sources before relying on it — it's a study aid, not authoritative source material.
- Keep your access code confidential and back up anything stored only in your own vault, Drive, or Notion — TheVaultMind keeps no copy of it.
- Comply with the terms of every third-party service you connect through the app (your AI provider, Google, Notion, Microsoft, Obsidian).
4. Don't
- Attempt to access, disrupt, or overload the RSS relay server or any other infrastructure TheVaultMind operates (e.g. scraping it at volume, attempting to bypass its rate limits or SSRF protections).
- Generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to process.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app.
- Use the app to violate the acceptable use policy of any connected third-party service.
- Attempt to bypass, brute-force, or share access credentials (name, date of birth, or access code) issued to another user.
